Sun Wook Kwon is the new owner of the Red Coat Inn Motel in Fort Macleod. The Highland Park Inn in Edson is now known as Super 8 Motel, and Scott MacKay is the general manager. Fort George Motel & RV Park is now known as Elk Point Motel & RV Park.

Peter Bell has been added to the contract sales team at Spring Air Mattress/Restwell Sleep Products. 
Coast Hotels & Resorts recognized its top-performing sales associates for 2007, selected from 23 properties in Western Canada. Monica Zeniuk, Sales Manager, The Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel, was recognized as top sales performer for 2007 for the second consecutive year. Debbie Jager, Sales Manager of the Coast Tsawwassen Inn, placed second in sales for 2007, and Jackie Collins, the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel, came in third. 

The Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC), announced the appointment of Scott Allison, Leah George-Wilson, and Konstantinos (Kosta) Tomazos as members of the Board of Directors of the CTC.

Howard Johnson Canada announced its dedication to becoming more ecologically friendly by committing to have all Canadian properties complete the Hotel Association of Canada’s Green Key Eco-Rating program by September of 2008.
