Introductory Notes
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself. Writing this is my first official duty at ABLE BC and I will be just a couple of weeks into my new position as Executive Director when you read this.
I am excited about serving an organization with such a strong record of service to our members. I come to ABLE BC with a great deal of government and political experience, including time as Executive Director for a political party. I am experienced in working with politicians and government on complex issues and look forward to putting this experience to work for the benefit of all of ABLE BC’s members.
While Hilda, Al, and members of the board will be getting me up to speed very quickly, I am hoping to make my way around the province to meet many of you in the fall. I know that each member has something to teach me about the challenges the industry faces and how ABLE BC can help.
I am excited to get started, learning from and working with all of you.
Golf Tournament
Here’s a reminder to register now for the annual ABLE BC Golf Tournament. There are still openings for the September 18th event, to be held at Redwoods Golf Course in Langley. Please call Hilda at the office if you would like to register.
Welcome Tiffany Glover
ABLE BC would like to welcome Tiffany Glover to our office staff team. Tiffany joined us in mid-July replacing Patricia Bonham who left ABLE to spend more time concentrating on her studies. Trish will be sadly missed, but will not be far away as she joins Canada's National Brewers in a part-time role. We wish Trish all the best.
